Samsung Galaxy S25+ Battery Capacity Revealed
The Galaxy S25+ is expected to come with 4,900 mAh same as its predecessor S24+
In a recent revelation from GalaxyClub, the Samsung Galaxy S25+ is set to
disappoint those hoping for a battery capacity upgrade. Despite being one of
the most anticipated smartphones of 2025, the S25+ will reportedly retain the
same battery as its predecessor, the Galaxy S24+.
Battery Capacity Remains Unchanged
According to the Dutch publication, the Samsung Galaxy S25+ will feature a battery with a rated capacity of 4,755 mAh and a typical capacity of 4,900 mAh. These figures align exactly with the Galaxy S24+, suggesting that Samsung has decided to stick with a tried-and-true battery configuration.
In addition to the unchanged battery capacity, the Galaxy S25+ will also retain the same charging speeds as its predecessor. The device is expected to support 45W fast charging, which is a standard feature for high-end Samsung smartphones.
Battery Capacity Limitations: A Tipster's Insight
Tipster Ice Universe has shed light on the potential reasons behind the unchanged battery capacity in the Galaxy S25+. According to him, there seems to be an industry-wide limitation for some international brands regarding battery capacities exceeding 5100mAh. This limitation is believed to be related to air transportation regulations.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL serves as an example of this constraint. While the battery capacity was increased from 5050mAh to 5060mAh, it was unable to exceed the 5100mAh threshold. This suggests that there might be underlying factors beyond technical limitations that prevent smartphone manufacturers from incorporating larger batteries.
While the battery and charging speeds may remain unchanged, The Galaxy S25+ is expected to have a similar camera setup to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24+. This includes a 50 MP primary sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10 MP telephoto sensor. The flagship Ultra version S25 Ultra is expected to feature a quad-camera setup, including a 200 MP primary sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide sensor, and two 50 MP telephoto sensors.
Although the Samsung Galaxy S25+ may not offer a battery upgrade, it still
promises to be a powerful and feature-packed smartphone.
