Samsung finally confirmed the One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy phones in April
The One UI 7 update will roll out to the Galaxy S24 series and other compatible devices globally starting April 7th.
After a flurry of rumors, Galaxy users' anticipation for the One UI 7 update is finally coming to an end. Samsung has officially announced the rollout plans for its flagship devices, starting April 7th worldwide. Users in the United States will experience a slight delay, with the update arriving on April 10th.
Today, Samsung broke its silence regarding the One UI 7 update for recent Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24 models, as well as the foldable Z Flip 6 and Fold 6. A year's worth of reports have highlighted the advanced features of One UI 7, particularly on the Galaxy S24 series. These devices will begin receiving the One UI 7 update on April 7th. Other devices slated for the update include the Galaxy S24 FE, the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy S23 FE, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, the Galaxy Tab S10 series, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.
While Samsung has confirmed these models, they have not yet clarified whether other devices will receive One UI 7 with Android 15. The Galaxy S22 series remains eligible for Android 15, and the 2021 flagship S21 is also within the OS upgrade timeline, but Samsung has not made any official statements. The newly launched budget-friendly Galaxy A26, A36, and A56 models are already integrated with One UI 7.
The burning question among One UI enthusiasts is: what are Samsung's key innovations in One UI 7? Undoubtedly, the primary focus of this OS upgrade is AI integration. Beyond significant design and performance enhancements, nearly every feature is enhanced by AI. From camera and editing capabilities to daily routine tasks, AI boosts are prevalent. Samsung, a long-standing Google partner, is integrating Google Gemini features in place of Google Assistant.
We got an early glimpse of Samsung's One UI 7 experience on the recently launched flagship Galaxy S25 series. Routine tasks and notifications have been revamped with AI, featuring a new navigation and brief bar on the lock screen. Editing tools, such as an eraser tool and audio eraser tool for improved video recording and noise cancellation, demonstrate AI advancements. One UI 7 also introduces a conversational AI feature, enabling users to find information using natural language. This feature performed exceptionally well on the Galaxy S25 model.
We will keep you informed as soon as Samsung begins rolling out these updates. Stay tuned to find out if your device is eligible for One UI 7.
