Meta-owned social media platform testing a feature that will give users the ability to keep their story live for a week. Instagram named this feature "My Week" as the name suggests the story will last for 7 days. We heard about this feature from tech investigator, Alessandro Paluzzi, who shared this news through its official X (formally known as Twitter).

Wait, the interesting part of this update is that you can remove any story you like or just add the story to My Week without telling your followers. For creators, this feature helps them get more users or followers for their content. As a story lives longer, it will have more paid promotion benefits. This will allow the creator's content to live for a full week to engage their followers. For businesses, it's like a whole new playground for advertising and brand promotion. This will help in reaching new consumers for its brands.

This feature also acts as an event reminder for events week-long promotions or challenges, your followers will be able to see it in your story for the entire duration. This elegant update is still baking in Instagram's oven and has not rolled out for the general public and beta users. As per Alessandro Paluzzi, Instagram will roll out this feature for both iOS and Android users. We are expecting that iOS will be the first to experience this update and then Android as usual.
