Instagram is working on different innovative features to enhance the overall user experience. There are a lot of features cooking in Instagram's oven 一 working on bringing a meta-verified feed and enabling users to turn off read receipts in DMs. Now, this time for a story feature upgrade.
Meta-owned social media platform testing a feature that will
give users the ability to keep their story live for a week. Instagram named
this feature "My Week" 一 as the name suggests the story will
last for 7 days. We heard about this feature from tech investigator, Alessandro Paluzzi, who shared this news through its official X (formally known as
Twitter).

Wait, the interesting part of this update is that you can
remove any story you like or just add the story to My Week without telling your
followers. For creators, this feature helps them get more users or followers
for their content. As a story lives longer, it will have more paid promotion
benefits. This will allow the creator's content to live for a full week to
engage their followers. For businesses, it's like a whole new playground for
advertising and brand promotion. This will help in reaching new consumers for
its brands.

This feature also acts as an event reminder for events 一
week-long promotions or challenges, your followers will be able to see it in your
story for the entire duration. If you travel a lot and prefer to share your
experience and your journey diaries online for a long time then the My Week
feature is definitely made for you.
This elegant update is still baking in Instagram's oven and
has not rolled out for the general public and beta users. As per Alessandro Paluzzi, Instagram will roll out this feature for both iOS and Android users.
We are expecting that iOS will be the first to experience this update and then
Android as usual. When this feature live and come to stable channel, we will posted as soon. Additionally, this giant social media platform recently
rolled out a new feature for downloading reels.
